Puerto Colon Tenerife
Puerto Colon in Tenerife does offer an interesting mix of attractions. From the working Marina, the golden sands of Playa La Pinta to the bustling nightlife of Playa de Fanabe, there’s something for everyone. Located in the south of Tenerife, this area spans over 10 km and is in close proximity to Veronicas strip, the nightlife centre of Tenerife, making it an ideal destination for shopping, seafood restaurants (my indulgence), and evening entertainment. When I’m in Tenerife, I always spend at least one day here! The Puerto Colon Shopping centre is one mass of bars, restaurants, and gift shops and overlooks Puerto Colon Marina and continues along the seafront towards Torviscas and Playa de Fanabe. Major Tourist Attractions in Puerto Colon Tenerife
One of the most popular things to do in Puerto Colon Tenerife is the whale and dolphin watching excursions, for this Puerto Colon’s marina offers numerous boats to choose from. I should also just mention that the whale watching season lasts all year round here, so no matter when you visit, you have a good chance of spotting them. Water sports are also very popular here, such as snorkelling, scuba diving, diving for beginners, windsurfing, and low tide activities. Sailing and Boat Tours for the Adventurous
Experience sailing and boat tours departing from Puerto Colon’s marina, the gateway to snorkelling adventures and water sports. The marina provides moorings, amenities, and sailing opportunities, offering the adventurous visitors thrilling experiences amidst the stunning landscapes of south Tenerife. Playa de Puerto Colon: More Than Just a Beach
Puerto Colon is home to the bustling Playa la Pinta and Playa de Fanabe beaches, just a few hundred metres from the marina in the up-market resort of Costa Adeje. These are in my opinion the best beaches in Tenerife, cappuccino-coloured sandy beaches are the place to banish boredom, with parasailing, banana boat rides, jet skis and pedalos to hire, plus a children’s playground and crazy golf. It’s west-facing, giving you ringside seats for sunset, whether you watch from the sand, from a beach club cabana, or from one of the many bars and restaurants along the promenade. The beach is also protected by a large curved breakwater, ensuring calm waters that are safe for both kids and adults to enjoy.
Shopper’s Paradise: Puerto Colon Shopping
Explore a diverse array of boutiques showcasing trendy beachwear, souvenirs, and local crafts. The shopping centre offers fashion, electronics, and duty-free options, while unique art galleries and jewellery stores provide one-of-a-kind gifts. To distance to Puerto Colon from Tenerife South Airport is just 15 kilometers, which makes it conveniently accessible for travelers arriving at Reina Sofia Airport.
