The history of the Del Monte Forest dates back to the late 1800s, when the land was purchased by the Pacific Improvement Company. They began by planting over 200,000 Monterey Pine trees, transforming the barren landscape into a lush forest. The Del Monte Forest covers an area of around 5,000 acres and is situated on the Monterey Peninsula. It is a mix of natural vegetation and manicured gardens, creating a unique and picturesque landscape. The forest is primarily dominated by the famous trees, which are native to the area and can grow up to 100 feet tall!

In addition to its natural beauty and recreational activities, the Del Monte Forest also has a rich history and cultural significance.
