The time it takes to get from your landing airport to your destination varies mostly due to transfer availability and budget, in this blog post I try to cover both, I hope it helps you in some way! If your journey begins at Tenerife South Airport and your destination is the beautiful Los Cristianos, fret not! I’ve compiled a guide to help you navigate the various transportation options, ensuring a smooth transition from the Airport to Los Cristianos is roughly 16km (11 miles).

1. Taxis:

The most convenient and time-efficient option is to hop into a taxi waiting just outside the airport. Taxis are readily available to take you direct to Los Cristianos in approximately 20 minutes and cost anywhere between 30 – 40 euros. While they may be a bit more expensive than other options, the comfort and convenience make it worthwhile, especially if you’re carrying heavy luggage. Then, after checking in, the search begins for the best things to do in Tenerife.

2. Shuttle Services

Several shuttle companies operate at Tenerife South Airport, offering shared rides to popular destinations like Los Cristianos. These services are cost-effective between 10 – 15 euros and provide a good balance between comfort and affordability. Keep in mind that the travel time may vary depending on the number of stops and passengers. 3. Rental Cars

For the freedom to explore Tenerife at your own pace, renting a car is an excellent option. Although most of the rental agencies are conveniently located at the airport some will deliver the car to your Hotel if you prefer, we recommend autoreisen, cicar and sanasty because they have a no deposit policy which we like! The drive to Los Cristianos is quite straightforward along the main TF1 (South) and the cars cost between 20 -30 euros per day to hire. 4. Public Transport

Tenerife boasts a well-connected public bus network, and you can find buses departing from the airport to Los Cristianos frequently . This option is budget-friendly and costs around 4 euros each way, but it may take longer due to multiple stops. The bus lines to Los Cristianos are 40/343 and the late night (after 10pm)/early morning line is 711, all of them cost around 4 euros for a one way journey .
